Flemington Raritan Community Pool – 2017 Rules

 

DECK AREA

  1. All persons using the pool must wear appropriate bathing attire.
  2. Chairs are provided for the adults; one chair per adult.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  1. No one is permitted to enter the pool without at least 2 lifeguards on duty.
  2. When three long whistles are heard, everyone must clear the pool.
  3. Showers must be taken before entering the pool.
  4. Any persons showing evidence of skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, nasal or ear discharge or any communicable disease, cannot enter the pool.
  5. Persons with excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts or bandages, cannot enter the water.
  6. Pool noodles and diving toys are permitted in shallow section of the pool. Anyone misusing these items will have them taken away.
  7. Running, pushing, towel-snapping, profane language and any other behavior creating conditions of danger or annoyance are prohibited.
  8. Animals are not permitted on the premises.  Only exception is for service animals.
  9. All injuries must be reported at once to the Pool Office.
  10. Approved sports activities are restricted to designated areas.
  11. The deep end of the pool is to be used for diving and sliding only.
  12. No aquatic equipment, except swimming goggles, is allowed in the pool (NO face masks).
  13. During adult swim, only people 18 years of age (as of June 1) and over, are allowed in the pool.
  14. Children 5 and under with swimmies are allowed in the shallow end under adult supervision, when the pool is not too crowded.
  15. During lightning storms, everyone must go under the Pool House roof when lighting is seen. For thunder, members must exit the pool and stay off the pool deck.
  16. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is allowed ONLY in the designated area in the parking lot.
  17. Children wearing swim diapers must have rubber/ plastic pants with snug fitting elastic waist and leg bands over the swim diaper. Children shall be encouraged to use the restroom facilities before entering the water.

DIVING

  1. Diving is prohibited in five feet of water or less.
  2. Use of the diving board is permitted only to members or guests who have passed the deep-water test.
  3. When using the diving board, stand on the cement until the person ahead of you hits the water.
  4. The diving board is to only to be used for front dives and jumps off the board.

SLIDE

  1. Use of the slide is permitted only to members or guests who have passed the deep-water test.
  2. When using the slide, stand on the cement until the person ahead of you hits the water.
  3. The slider must sit feet first on the slide and may not wear goggles.

WADING POOL

  1. Use of the Wading Pool is restricted to children ages 5 and under – even during Adult Swim.
  2. An adult must always supervise children using the wading pool. Life guards are not always present.
  3. Children wearing swim diapers must have rubber/ plastic pants with snug fitting elastic waist and leg bands over the swim diaper. Children shall be encouraged to use the restroom facilities before entering the water.
  4. Water toys are permitted. Toys too large or made of metal or glass are prohibited.
  5. No one is permitted to climb on the fountain.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

  1. Food is not allowed on deck/concrete.
  2. No alcoholic beverages or drugs may be brought in or consumed on the premises.
  3. Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be prohibited from entering the premises.
  4. NO GLASS containers are allowed on the premises.

ADMITTANCE TO THE POOL

  1. Each member is required to have a photo on record to gain entrance into pool grounds.
  2. Any member helping another person to gain false entry may have their membership suspended for the 1st offense and revoked thereafter.
  3. On swim team and swim lesson days, the pool and grounds will be cleared before opening at 12:15pm.
  4. Members 13 years of age (as of June 1) and over are permitted entrance without supervision.

CHILD CARE PROVIDER GUIDELINES

  1. Members less than 13 years old must be accompanied by a care provider, or family member, who is at least 17 years old (as of June 1).
  2. All care givers must register with the front desk and must be familiar with the Pool Rules.
  3. All care givers must remain with the children who are under their care.
  4. A non-member 17 years old (as of June 1) and older may act as a member’s child care provider, if the non-member pays the guest fee and is signed in by the member.

GUEST PROCEDURES

Members may sponsor a guest under the following conditions:

  1. Members must register guests at the front desk upon entry.
  2. Guests must be accompanied at all times by a member 13 years of age (by June 1) or older.
  3. Guest fees are $10/ day, $5/guest after 6pm, $2/guest after 7pm.
  4. Senior Citizen (65 and over by June 1) guest fee is $5 every day, except Thursdays and Saturdays when they are free.
  5. Members 13 to 17 years old (as of June 1) may bring in a maximum of 1 guest at any one time.
  6. The manager on duty may suspend guest privileges due to overcrowded conditions.
  7. Guest fees will be refunded if guests are asked to leave the pool premise due to weather conditions within 1 hour of checking in at the front desk.

Rules are subjected to change at the discretion of the Pool Board.
