The Flemington-Raritan Community Pool
The Flemington-Raritan Community Pool (FRCP) is a private swim club that first opened in 1963. It was created to serve the Flemington community, Raritan Township, and neighboring communities. The pool is located at 63 Capner Street in Flemington. Memberships are open to anyone who lives within a reasonable distance.
FRCP offers swimming lessons for children of all swimming levels. Lessons are offered in the morning hours, before regular pool hours start. The pool also hosts a swimming and diving team that competes in the Princeton Area Swimming & Diving Association and has won several PASDA championships. The 2016 team featured more than 120 children from ages 5 to 18.
In addition to the full size pool, there is also a separate baby pool for children 5 and under. Other fun activities on the pool grounds include ping pong and basketball. A snack bar is located on site to provide cold drinks, ice cream, and other treats for members and their guests. Private parties for birthdays and other celebrations can be scheduled with the pool staff during the summer season.
The 2017 pool season begins May 27 and continues through Labor Day, September 4. Registration for the 2017 season will be available in March. Detailed information on membership, rates, hours, swim lessons, and the competition teams can be found on the website.
